Starting May 30th, set aside Friday afternoons from 3 to 8pm for the Wiarton Farmers' Market--meet the people that produce your food, stock up on local delicacies, and catch up with friends. You'll also find hand-crafted gifts, delicious snacks, and great live music, all right on Berford Street beside Town Hall.
Among the products available will be fresh herbs, flowers, and preserves from Green Heart Gardens, delicious tarts and pies from Dale's Bakery, Stoney Keppel's rich and lean bison meat, fresh-baked breads from Rising Sun Bakery, and both ready-to-eat and frozen meals from the masterful cooks at Curry in a Hurry.

Farmers' markets are springing up in communities everywhere in response to a growing demand for local products. Buying from your local market supports the farmers and producers, recirculating money back into the local economy, and protecting good agricultural land from development
