Homes for Christmas
Here's a warming story of Christmas giving that includes a present the size of a box-car, jammed to the top with everything needed to build housing for 4000 Haitian orphans, all thanks to local contractor Jim Howe, Russ Miller of the Sauble Home Building Centre, and the combined goodwill of the Sauble Christian Fellowship members and their partner congregation in Niagra Falls
Within a few weeks, Miller and Howe worked together "to get 40 of everything . . . toilets, sinks, piles of 2x4s, you name it."
By the time the container was ready to be loaded in mid-November, Howe and Miller "along with terrific community support" managed to collect $109,000 worth of building materials which, thanks to Miller's generosity, the church was able to purchase for a fraction of the retail cost.

The group are now preparing to head down to Haiti to put the materials to work, completing the cafeteria and 40 new home pods.
