Mixed Member Proportional Election Reform?

Gary provided interesting information on a number of voting systems. Since the MMP question apparently will be part of the October 2007 Provicial elections, I was wondering how people in the hinterland feel about the proposed change.
I think such a change would be an interesting experience. We might even have to learn the art of governing with a " coalition" of political parties.

Great Idea

Half of parliament elected as it is now and the other half proportional based on the true voting of the country. It would allow all views of the population to be present in parliament.

For now I'd just like to see an elected senate.

For the future: elected judges.

Unfortunately while all of these things sound great the US has most of them in place and I don't believe that the average person is better represented south of the border.
