Steamed Chicken

Description

This dish is very easy to make. The only thing is you need to have a wok with lid and a steam rack.

Ingredients

  • 1 Chicken, fryer preferred
  • 2 sli ginger, ground
  • 1 green union, chopped
  • 0.25 c oil
  • 2 pn salt

Instructions

Pour water into wok to just touching the steam rack. Cover the wok and place on stove. Turn stove on max to bring water to boil. In the mean time, rinse chicken thoroughly then wipe dry. Put chicken in a dish of 1 to 1.5 in depth. When water in the wok is boiling, turn stove to medium high. Place dish with chicken on the rack,then cover the wok. Return in 20 minutes to add water to the wok. Turn stove to max until water is boiling. Return to medium high. While chicken is cooking, pour oil into a small heavy skillet to cover bottom. bring oil to just boiling, turn off the stove. Pour oil into a small bowl of ginger and green onoin. Mix in salt to taste. This is used as a dip for the chicken. When the chicken is cooked, put it in another dish to serve so you can pour the chicken juice into a container to keep for making noodle soup for lunch the next day.
