Touring the ECO

Take a trip with the LeBlanc family as they discover the new Escarpment Centre Ontario. Pull into the indigenous garden and take a guided tour through the planned interpretive center in this smart (no pun intended) and no-plugins-required website featuring original architectural drawings of the proposed centre slated to open in Owen Sound.

Ontario's Niagara Escarpment UNESCO Biosphere Reserve stretches 725 km from Tobermory in the north to Niagara Falls in the south and is the provinces most recognized land form. It passes through parks, farm land and both large and small urban centres. Formed over 450 million years ago it is now home to many of Ontario's rarest ferns and orchids and is a major wildlife corridor. Every year the Escarpment plays host to millions of visitors from across Canada and around the world. Escarpment Centre Ontario will help many of them to gain a better understanding of this unique and precious part of our planet's natural heritage.
