BREAKFAST CLUB IMPORTANT (ONGOING)

Posted by Bob on March 29, 2005 - 2:51pm

Hi I am responding to this mornings post re Green horn looking for food donations.

My family and I want to thank Amable sauble,Breakfast,Green horn and all locals fortheir much needed contributions.

We do have hungre residents locally.

My family for an example use the donated lunch program at amable sauble and the breakfast club.

We have lived here for 2 yrs. My wife is an R.P.N. .she transfered her job from Mississauga to V.O.N. Grey Bruce. after only 9 mos was downsized from them.

Myself I am an educated paralegal who cannot find local work  so I am cooking with a local restaurant. I am gratefull for the wpork but it does not give us enough to buy groceries.

Thanks to all the helpfull people we are able  to manage.

Unless you are tecnically unimployed  a family cannot get a ticket to go to the food bank.

We saw a good service in Wwiarton' the I G A  there prepacks food bags for the local salvation army food bank We donate to that when we get a good pay day

I think one day if everyone donated one dollar to everytime they purchase groceries to local food bank no one would go hungry.

It is a wonderfull comunity to live in. Unless you are semi retired or retired .It seems the job market is for seniors and does not help 40 to 60 yr olds attract employment.

Bob and family. thanks from the bottom of my heart.

My wife now has work with Carepartners. But wow live in Olliphant and work in meaford. Most of the pay goes to gas
