I suppose you might say it's has been a little on the damp side this May 2-4 weekend, especially considering this great view of the new Lake Sauble we saw sprawled out along the back road to Hepworth -- the water fowl are all duly impressed I'm sure, but we hear tell from Pam that the birds' bonanza is causing a spate of basement flooding and a few roads closed down on the low grounds.

As for the rain and thunder dampening the spirits of the weekend pilgrims, judging by the line-ups both inside and out at the Hepworth Tim Hortons, I'd say the only thing damped by this weekend was a few tons of camping gear and a few square miles of tarp.
