Safe travelling in nice holiday

Posted by a tourist on March 13, 2004 - 11:23am

March break starts today. Like some of our neighbours, we will be going away to visit friends and relatives. For us, it is a short trip, only down to Toronto for a few days. It is still a much needed getaway when everybody is coming down with cabin fever by this time of the year.

It looks like the weather will co-operate. Although there is rain in the forecast towards the end of next week, the temperature is supposed to remain mild through out the whole March break holiday. Nevertheless, if you are travelling up here from the city, pack your snow gears. We had a lot of snow in January. Despite the mild temperature in the past few weeks, there is still quite a bit of white stuff on the ground. Also, of course, be cautious when you are driving in the evening. If the temperature drops below zero, the back roads may become icy. On warm evenings, watch out for animals.
