I drive by the once infested forest on Sauble Falls Parkway every day. Today, with grey sky as backdrop and white snow on the ground, it looked exceptionally bare. The very few trees that are still standing, and healthy I hope, seemed so lonely. "It's gonna be a long time before we see a forest here again." I said to Linton, who was riding with me. What was in my mind as I made that remark was: I hope we will see a forest here again.

Market value of properties in SBP is on the rise because of an increasing interest among those soon-to-be retirees in returning to nature after being trapped in the hustle and bustle of city life for years. Can I trust our council in doing what is right for the people and the land?
