Free webspace for SBP sites
Yes, free websites, only it's better than that, it's a free website that you can make as public as you like (within teledyn.com) and doesn't require any web-geek skills to create or maintain.
"Google sites is the best thing to hit the web since Google Apps. For a long time I'd been wanting a way to have a more private area, where others could still contribute without having to give them full administrative privileges to my domain - and Sites fits the bill and then some. I've used it to support many varied activities including private notes and conversations with clients, keeping track of my home schooled children's assignments and homework, letting them create their own web pages, collaborating with others on content for books and engineering designs, and even sharing pictures of our new dog with my family. It's easier and faster than a wiki, I can control who can see or contribute to a given site, and it's just downright fun to use! Thank you Google!"

Why would anyone WANT @teledyn email?
That's the answer I usually get, and it is a fair question: Why would anyone want to switch from BMTS or HotMail or whatever email and go with an @teledyn.com email system?
The best answer is basically this: Incredible reliability
Mind you, a very real concern is How do you know teledyn.com will be there 5 years from now? and that's a good question, even if teledyn.com has been here longer than both BMTS and hotmail, but it is a fair concern because I do vacillate by times between going on another month and just chucking the whole thing and raising sheep. So it's not guaranteed, like, say, the way canada.com was (past-tense), or log.on.ca or ...
And then there's the whole issue of being branded by the likes of the whatnots that go on here on the SBP :)
However, none of that discounts the basic offer provided by the Google Apps for Your Domain service; the service here is only one example of a GAFYD service, and the same comprehensive feature set and the same reliability could be rolled out for any domain. Even BMTS.
The point being that I've been in the business for a long time and I have run many mail and office-support systems and I know the expense and heartache of the thankless nightmare it involves, and all I'm saying here really is why would anyone want to take that on?
Especially in light of that chart, in light of the knowledge that the whole ugly rat's nest could be painlessly and seamlessly outsourced to Google for free.
Why indeed
If I may add my 2 gins worth(I havent forgot the offer Lisa!) Why indeed.Well, it involves you a *little* more in the workings of SBP, but this does not stop you from checking your other emails.. gmail allows that. What I like is seeing ..ohh for arguments sake..Gary..online and it comes with a built in chat.Simple text chat with no flash ads, no *suspicious* contacts being sent to you, but safe simple way of saying * hey buddy!*. Ill be working on some sites to add to teledyn sites, its a cool app.
..Oh..Gary..like I said if you give up on sbp....would you really like to see THIS SITE represent sbp?...hmm come to think of it..its better than the other sites out there:)
