Sandfest washed out but 200 diehard cruisers come to show off their babies
Posted by wolfkodiak on August 9, 2008 - 2:37pm
I counted about 200 entries to the car show and they stayed until almost 2:00 pm and what beautiful babies they were. These are true, dyed in the wool car nuts who actually drive their babies in bad weather....true enthusiasts all. Sunset Cruisers be proud. I take my soaking wet hat and tip it to all of you. Kudos also to Friends of Sauble Beach, feeding the throngs and finishing the day by distributing free burgers and dogs to the Cruisers. What a great day! Surprising that so many showed, even considering no Sandfest Looking forward to next year, hopefully in the sun.

street dance
It is such a shame that Mother Nature did not cooperate at all with Sandfest. It has always been such a great weekend. But - just to let everyone know - the street dance which had been scheduled to take place on Saturday - has been re-scheduled for this Friday, August the 15th.
dancing in the street
Who's playing? And are there more street dances planned for the remaining summer?
also on the entertainment calendar, just for tonight for those still awake, the Persied Meteor Shower is right now lighting up the night skies; there may be a few stragglers tomorrow night as well.
band info
It's the Tom Gillem (sp?) band. They played at the July 1st celebration too. As for more dances, I don't know. I guess that's up to the Chamber of Commerce.
