It's harvest season and Saturday night, and it's time for Chesley's Own Grand Ole Opry! Barry Woodyard and the Grey Bruce Connection are back again to host another showcase fundraiser revue of our local Grey and Bruce County country music, as always with many new faces along side the familiar favourites. Proceeds as always will go to charity, this time to the Chesley Library development fund. You can't beat that. So if CMT really just doesn't do it for you, and if you're missing songs that made sense and you've got a longing for some real honest home-cooked roots americana country music, then get yer frock and grab yer fella and get yourselves down to the Chesley Community Aud! If you don't already know who's on the bill, just take a peek at your local general-store window, I'm sure there's a poster there someplace. For tickets and details, maybe directions too, call up 519.363.2312 or write robin.woodyard@sympatico.ca

PWD has posted their leaf collection schedule, with collection starting Oct 30 for Wiarton, the 31st and 1st for Sauble, Albemarle on the 2nd and Amabel South on the 3rd. All residents must bag their leaves and place the bags at the curb prior to 7:00 a.m. on Pavement may be slippery if covered with wet leaves. Use caution while driving.
