I know I am south of youse all but y'all have been blessed.

The only way we have been able to get high speed up until now is through cable, and we have to subscribe to a cable package to get the internet (almost 90.00 per month altogether). Otherwise it was dial up.

Now I notice that there is a big sign south of Blyth toting "HIGH SPEED INTERNET" call. . .it's 45.00. So, if I switch from cable altogether and lose my dose of CSI Miami, it will cost me 5 dollars more per month just for the plain internet..and I will miss the big H. We are not farther ahead.

Sauble is way more high tech, congratulations!

Is Bell finally going to flip the switch on that switch to the ON position and broadband the rest of Sauble Beach? Well ... don't hold your breath, but according to the CRTC, it is time to spend all that money the Feds had forced them to skim from the city-folk to fill the coffers for a fund specifically founded for just this purpose. The question is, though, will Bell comply? ...

When the deferral account was created in 2002, the CRTC directed the phone companies to put amounts equal to any potential rate reduction into the account. The aim was to keep rates high enough to encourage new competitors to enter the local phone market.
