PING: any mac users?

I know Irie Guy and Sabrinus are mac users, anyone else? I need a little input and suggestions. This is the scenario...( and I think by now everyone knows how I feel about windows and enjoy open source and Linux and my fav is still Unix..)my daughter is at college, and her course required a mac, so we got one of those dad gum newfangled white macbooks with the Intel Dual core processor..it came with macOsx(tiger), and a whole load of programs like garage band, etc.(I admit its a sweet machine, and love the built in camera and the quality..it feels good.)I set it up as follows in her dorm, macbook wireless bluetooth keyboard and mouse, usb epson c88 printer, a small plastic stand that allows for a 21 inch LCD screen, so she has a full workstation , and when she has class, unplug a cord or 2( had to order a mini dvi adapter through apple..noone stocked it..)and off goes the laptop to class.(Love the new laptops that allow them to work while closed!)
While it did come with microsoft office for mac, and I installed it, my(and hers!)leaning is still to open source, so on went open office.I also put on quite a few other open source software, Adium for connecting multiple I.M.'s,Transmission for torrent downloads,Audacity for sound recordings,of course GIMP( my fav rival to photoshop and paintshop in all operating systems)NVU(like dreamweaver for doing webpages),and Blender(for 3d modelling). Also msn for macs, and for downloading music Frostwire(available from frostwire.com for all O.S.'s) that uses the gnutella/limewire network with NO ads or baddies.
