Gallery of Early Canadian Flight

Wiarton is the birthplace of Eileen Vollick (1908-1968), the first licensed woman pilot in Canada, and in her honour our local historian and aviation buff Brian Reis is preparing to launch the Gallery of Early Canadian Flight.

The museum will be open from 8:30am to 6:30pm Monday to Friday 365 days a year, admission is free. The gallery
will also offer monthly social evenings, featuring guest speakers who have been, or are still actively playing a part in Canadian military and civil aviation.

There will be a special ribbon cutting ceremony for the Gallery at the Wiarton Keppel Airport, Wednesday June 18th at 9:30 am.
