It likely wouldn't have mattered that much -- bears, apparently, overwhelmingly prefer Ranier to Busch.
Busch Beer and the Windspire Inn

Quite an interesting story they have over Port Elgin way.I know it has a storied past..and I know it is an area with characters that make up a community, but who would have thought that Beer, Tea, and Lake Huron would all come together, to help build a community.No..I’m not talking about a long weekend in the summer, but a bit of history uncovered, recently when digging into Port Elgin’s historical Windspire Inn:

Turns out Sebastian Busch, who built the original house on the property, was a teetotaller trying to get away from his family’s brewing business and ended up in Port Elgin on the shores of Lake Huron.

In a way, its good that he never brought a bit of the Ale up this way, with our bear sightings in S.B.P. , we may have ended up on the front page like this thirsty Beer lover.

[ see Plaque honours Inn built by Beer scion ]
