http://sbp.teledyn.com/node/182 Comments for "A contest of note." en http://sbp.teledyn.com/node/182#comment-76 <p>wiki wikis?? please dont tell me its some kind of thong.</p> Mon, 19 Apr 2004 00:19:58 -0400 bub comment 76 at http://sbp.teledyn.com http://sbp.teledyn.com/node/182#comment-75 <p>Bub, I don't want to discourage you, but this is a good example of the really fuzzy distinction between a blog page and a forum -- a forum is better for a discussion where all the comments are going to accummulate forever, constantly building a clearer picture of the topic, whereas a blog is best suited for things that are timely, that will fade away, but that deserve real attention when they are new.</p> <p>The <strong>Help Forum</strong> is best left for questions about how to <u>use</u> the South Bruce Peninsular (which makes this particular example now a really <em>good</em> example!) because people in 5 years from now can still come here and search up "<i>what the heck is the difference between a forum and a blog?</i>" and they'd find this conversation.
