a open letter to the computer savvy

Posted by wayne tanner on March 31, 2008 - 8:14pm

Folks I have a question.
You see I have this friend see, not me, a friend, no acutally it is my cousin, yeah thats it my cousin, who wants to know the following...
If a fellow has XP and, say two years ago he opened his work BBS (first class) at home on his own computer, saw a message and its history thereof. Printed it off. And now for the life of him and all things holy can't find the *$%@#%&&* peice of paper he printed.
Anyway to dig this up in some hidden file folder that I hear all computers have....
And yes I have.... No my cousin... has defragged, deleted cookies and all those other maintenace things I am prompted to do over the last two years......

Midwinter Mayhem

Posted by wayne tanner on January 12, 2008 - 12:36pm

Since I am here I am thinking of having a new yearly midwinter tradition of a bonfire/weeny roast/ cocktails. As there must be a reason what would be a historic or relevant event to celebrate in such a manner.....
As I had to douse my fire on New years eve as I thought I had to go out on a fire call ( irony) I have to justify such a conflagration (sp) to the ms's

Can I throw this in

Posted by wayne tanner on October 3, 2007 - 12:55am

If I may can get some feed back on this. My gut says this is wrong but I know the voices of
of many may disagree.
What will be th outcome and finality of the tabbacco farmers being told they are out of business.
Despite your individual moods on this, isnt it wrong to just say you are sht down.
Now I only caught a bit of info and I am not sure what is in the process. But
for the government to make Millions ( Billions) off these people and then because it may seem and could be the right thing to do cut them off, and then not compensate becase thier lawyers will
play the "correct" card and say you are not eligible dadedadeadeda.
For many years the government has bankrolled promises based on this income and niow
just toddle off and get a new life.

An open thanks to Carol Poucher -Urbshott and good luck to Tim

Posted by wayne tanner on July 5, 2007 - 10:40pm

I am going to take this time and opportunity to publicly thank Carol Poucher-Urbshott for her efforts. On her short time as a trustees she personally went to bat for me and I believe, and feel awful, that she ran into the same brick walls that I have suffered from running into. I think it was ironic and with some personal vindication when the Mended went public with its concerns.

I am remaining as quiet as my fingers will allow me too to keep my issues between the Board and myself just that. But post Carols resignation I was told by the Board that I cannot contact the Board or its Trustees any more regarding issues I have as a parent.

I need someone with the skills higher than mine

Posted by wayne tanner on March 31, 2007 - 12:19am

I am sure Gary is the go to guy on this but during a Brain induced flatulant moment I thought to myself I have to be honourable and "not harp on this topic". Where and how does the term "harping" on a topic come from. I looked in several on line resources and can find no where how the term Harping became involved i in the English langauge.

rumour alert: BWDSB sites on Amabel-Sauble School

Posted by wayne tanner on March 9, 2007 - 12:59am

rumour alert! rumour alert!
( insert Star trek Red Alert sfx here )

It has come to my attention, through sources which, when sober, which isn't often, are considered to be suspicious but entertaining:

Dean Currie of the BWDSB will be making an announcement regarding the future of Amabel Sauble Community School on March 30th ...

Now ... where are those "the sky is falling" people now? We made need them to get involved fast to get a jump on this.

cheers
